The biggest single line is the bikini set, followed by shorts, sweaters, mini dresses and halter tops. Most of it is sleeveless, most of it is under fifty dollars, and all of it is photographed on a body in the colourway being sold.

Three things you can check before you click. The cut is printed in words on the card, neckline, sleeve, length and fit, so a photograph of a halter is not the only evidence that it is a halter. The size run is on the card too, and the chart behind it is on the buying page in inches. And the piece ships from a warehouse in the country rather than from overseas, which is the difference between a parcel this week and a parcel this month.

The trade is the fabric. A twenty-dollar crochet cover-up is not a hundred-dollar linen one, and the card says crochet instead of pretending.

A woman who buys on her phone, often at night, for a week that is already planned: a trip, a wedding, a Friday, a maternity photograph. Within that, the babydoll and shirred cuts forgive a size between two letters and the satin and bodycon cuts do not; the plus-size run is deepest on swim, lounge and knits; and the maternity rail is the same shapes recut with room in front. The fitting guide on the front page is written for someone who has never held a tape to her own waist.

Shoes, on a small rail: kitten-heel sandals, ballet flats and slides, sized in US half steps. Everything else here is clothing for women, including the maternity rail. Children's pieces and accessories exist under the brand name but are not on this site, because a site that sells a dress should not also be selling a keychain.

Since 2015, which is 11 years of the same two questions: will it fit, and will it look like the picture. The useful part of that is not the anniversary but its consequence.
